About us
- ANASTASIA LAZAROU
- Choletria - Paphos, Cyprus
- I started painting when I was just a little kid under the instructions of my mother who is an artist as well. I have studied literature (Athens University) and also Art and Crufts (Hen of Athens). I had worked for a few years as a teacher but as my passion was art, I gave up teaching and I opened an Art Shop in the tourist area of Pafos. This way I was given the opportunity to spend long hours painting or creating mosaics and various crafts and pottery. I paint mostly in oils but frequently I use other mediums such as acrylics and pastels. I get my inspiration from nature, flowers and animals. As I live outside Choletria, a beautiful village on the mountains, it is easy for me to paint outdoors the various wild flowers and landscapes of my country. I had many solo exhibitions in Pafos and Limassol and my work resides in private collections in Cyprus and abroad. I have spend over 35 years painting and that is exactly what I love to do because art gives me so much happiness.
